Dear Trust supporter

I am delighted to invite you to visit Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s  Fox Fritillary Meadow for its annual open afternoon on Saturday 19th April, 2.30pm – 5.00pm.

Experience of managing the meadow tells us this date is likely to give us the best chance of seeing a good display. However nature often has its own agenda so I invite you all to book your places by calling 01473 890089 or emailing info@suffolkwildlifetrust with the names of those visiting, telephone number and email address. Then if I need to cancel the day due to a poor show of Fritillaries I will  contact you by the end of Friday April 18th.

No written confirmation will be given for your booking and car parking will be signposted from the A1120. If you have been before please don’t assume parking is in the same place – follow the Trust signs and volunteers will be on hand to direct you. There are no toilets and the site is not suitable for wheelchairs with uneven ground and a steep slope heading down to the reserve.  Contact number on the day only 07825 078271 GRID REF: TM189606 POSTCODE: IP14 6LH Located just off the A1120 between Framsden and Winston. All routes will be signposted.

This Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserve is the largest Suffolk population of fritillary - with several hundred thousand purple and white (f. albiflora Zahar.) flowering plants in good years. Let’s hope 2014 gives us another tremendous display.

I will be grateful if you can share this event with others and I look forward to meeting you on the 19th April..

Kind regards

Michael Strand
