We both have gardens of around an acre. They are very different. Sue's is predominantly orange but with leafy glades and a smart patio, featuring grasses and an interesting range of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. Both gardens reflect the range of plants found at local nurseries and those we have visited on HPS trips.

Chris's garden has a number of idiosyncratic structures and a large pond with what is supposed to be appropriate planting, not containing a lot of orange, but is not as well kept as Sue's! Sue says 'She does have other colours which include purple, blue, white and even pink' so it will be nice to compare the differences in each garden.

Directions: Find Billingford, NR20 4AJ on B1145 between North Elmham and Bawdeswell.

From Norwich take Fakenham Road A1067 through Drayton , Lenwade to Bawdeswell (Garden centre on Right). Take 2nd on left to Kings Lynn (brown sign to Saxon Chapel). Proceed to Billingford. Towards end of The Street take right turn into Bintree Road. Pass church on Left. Down hill. Pass Sue's house and farm track to Chris's to parking area on farm land slightly up the hill. (If walking is a serious problem, park at Chris's.)

Coming from Dereham go to North Elmham, turn Right at 'Kings Head' PH onto B1145. Take Left turn in Billingford onto Bintree Road. Find parkin as above.

Sue's house is Orchard Cottage, Bintree Road, Chris's is 100yds further down, then along a farm track on left, about 50yds.

Coffee and lunch will be held at different gardens, dependent on the weather, so look for notice at the car park.
