John and Brenda have booked the Derwent Manor Hotel, Allensford near Consett for three nights.

Tuesday 19th June.

Leave Notcutts, Norwich for The Himalayan Garden, Grewelthorpe, Ripon, North Yorkshire. We have booked lunch here and leave for the hotel in the afternoon.

Wednesday 20th June.

The first garden today is Thorton Hall, Staindrop. Sue Manners developed this garden from a field in 1995 and continues to increase the range of plants grown here. After lunch we travel to Eggleston Hall which is close by. The Estate has a renowed Nursery with a large range of plants run by Malcolm and Lisa Hockham.

Thursday 21st June.

Wallington Hall is a large Estate in the North of the County near Morpeth, run by the Nation Trust and is close to the Scottish border. We spend the morning here. After lunch we the Halls of Heddon a Nursery which specialises in Dahlias and Chrysanthemums which we saw when visiting in September.

Friday 22nd June.

The garden we visit on our return home is Renishaw Hall, south of Sheffield. The property has been in the Sitwell family for generations.

The price per person for a twin/double room is £350 or single room at £425.
