1-acre plantsman’s garden of all-year interest. For the winter opening a vast collection of snowdrops, cyclamen, hellebores etc. plus greenhouses containing rare bulbs and tender plants
March 2nd - and a lovely day so I managed to take a few pictures of the hellebores before they are spoilt by the rain.
A few photographs of plants in flower or showing colour today - hope this will be an ongoing yearly record from our members which will give a taste of conditionsat this particular time.
Just a small selection, from the many forms at their best in early September and October. The amellus cultivars with their rough leaves are less prone to mildew than the novi-belgii sorts and generally need little, if any staking - the butterflies are also fond of their daisy-like centres.
