This period will undoubtedly be remembered for the low rainfall and the freezing temperatures in December. In fact, the Met Office averages for East Anglia give an average maximum temperature of 2.8C and a minimum of -2.8C with 23 days of air frost.
The rainfall figures are interesting in that they again show up the variations across the region with Peter in Howe seeming to get highest, December excepted.
