Word of Warning!

Written by John Metcalf. Posted in News item

Be on your guard!

I bought from Thompson & Morgan what I thought were two new cultivars of Geums listed on their web site - but the plants I received were labelled Mrs Bradshaw and Lady Stratheden, very old, standard varieties.  Here is their reply to my complaint:

Our Ref: TM599257X
Dear John Metcalf

Thank you for your email.
I can confirm that you have received the correct item.
Mrs Bradshaw is Blazing Sunset and Lady Stratheden is Sunrise
I hope this has resolved your query. Please don’t hesitate to contact me again if I can be of any further assistance. I’ll be happy to help.

With best regards,
Sam Sewell
