On a glorious hot Saturday afternoon at Four Seasons about 75 members enjoyed a wonderful BBQ of un-charred chicken and sausages accompanied by salads. There was a treat for dessert besides pavlovas and cheesecakes - fruit kebabs soaked in rum and rolled in chocolate. Shear delight! There was also a selection of non-alcoholic refreshing punches. Whilst the committee slaved over hot stoves and preparing salad and fruit members wandered round the garden at a leisurely pace trying to work out the cryptic clues of the garden quiz - Jenny and Aileen were the winners. Thank you to everyone who supplied raffle prizes and more importantly thank you to the committee for their hard work and John & Richard for allowing us to hold this event in their truly plantsman's garden. What better way to spend an enjoyable sunny summer afternoon than in the company of good gardening friends and a wonderful garden.
